Walker Adams is a professional music educator with a degree from Berklee College of Music. He teaches from his home studio in Newburgh NY as well as online with Zoom. He teaches at New Windsor Music Academy and School of Rock Beacon, and has taught at Williamsburg School of Music in Brooklyn as well as Musika.

 

Walker's beginner method gets new students playing beats and fills right away so they can get in the groove and play along to their favorite songs. He then covers the basics of snare drum playing, drum set coordination, reading, and expands the student's repertoire of beats and fills. For more advanced students he focuses on jazz independence, polyrhythms, world rhythms, rudiments, and linear drumming.  Whatever the student's abilities, Walker provides personal education and guidance to meet their individual needs and help them excel.
