About

Walker Adams grew up in Vermont where he was drawn to music at an early age. His passion for drumming solidified during his middle and high school years at Waldorf school in the suburbs of NYC. He attended Berklee College of Music where he met Hiromi Uehara, Christian Scott, Esperanza Spaulding, Annie Clarke, Thomas Pridgen, Kendrick Scott, Jeff Gitelman, and Nikki Glaspie.

After graduating with honors he began his professional career in NYC. He toured with fusion bassist Percy Jones and soon joined Annie Clarke a.k.a St. Vincent for a year-long tour of her debut album Marry Me. He worked with rock drummer Carmine Appice in his drum show Slamm, and co-founded the rock band The Ludlow Thieves.

His talents were brought to the attention of the band Miggs who was looking for a drummer to tour their album Wide Awake. Thus began a five year relationship during which they opened for Plain White T's, Scott Weiland of Stone Temple Pilots, KT Tunstall, and Candlebox. They shot a music video starring Lindsay Lohan and recorded several studio albums one of which was produced by Phil Ramone.

Adams currently lives north of NYC in Hudson Valley NY where he writes and records original music and leads the dance-funk band Telepathic Moon Dance.

"Walker brings a fresh, new
funk to the music scene"
